Greetings
Chairman Ito Masatoshi The social welfare corporation "Jofuen" was founded in 1932, in the early Edo period, in the area where Nakano-go was born as Ekoda village.
Nakano Ward currently has a population of over 340,000, and with a population density of 22,122 square kilometers, it is one of the most densely populated areas in Tokyo. Our organization is located adjacent to Nerima Ward, and the surrounding area is also home to a cluster of hospitals.
Jyofuen operates in two areas: medical care and nursing care. It has Nakano Ekoda Hospital, which has a general medical department, as well as welfare facilities such as a special nursing home (nursing care facility for the elderly), the Ekoda Care Management Center, and Jyofuen Short Stay.
The word "Jofuen" comes from the phrase "Holy Spirit" found in the Chinese Nestorian (Christian) Bible, and the founder, Saburo Kato, named the company after this.
Japan is now facing a super-aging society, and the future of medical care, nursing care, and welfare is uncertain. In this situation, we believe that in order to meet the needs of the local community and contribute to it, it is important to develop facilities and personnel that are trusted by the local community.
We hope to provide a team of staff who are rich in humanity and have the knowledge and expertise to provide high-quality medical care.
We would appreciate your guidance and encouragement.
The wind blows as it pleases,
You hear the voice, but you know not whence it comes, or whither it goes,
So it is with all who live by the Spirit.
