History
Established in 1932 as "Private Jofuen Hospital"
1939: Permission granted to establish the Jofuen Foundation
In 1952, the Jofuen Foundation was reorganized into the "Jofuen Social Welfare Corporation."
Designated as an emergency hospital in 1958
In 1984, the hospital was renamed to its current name, Nakano Ekoda Hospital.
1992: Hemodialysis room and dermatology outpatient clinic opened. 2004: Increased number of convalescent beds to 136 general beds and 52 convalescent beds.
In 2008, the number of general hospital beds increased to 92 and the number of long-term care beds increased to 81.
In 2025, the number of general beds increased to 71 and the number of long-term care beds increased to 81.
